Professional Background
Steve worked for over 20 years in business analysis, consultancy and project management. He now brings all this experience to his own professional facilitation service. He has worked with organisations in many sectors:
· Retail and leisure (Whitbread, Kingfisher)
· Finance and accounting (MyTravel, BT, NHS)
· Logistics (Whitbread)
· Finance services (Barclaycard, Co-Operative Bank, BBC)
· Utilities (Thames Water)
· Telecomms (Energis, BT)
· Business and IT services (FI Group, Xansa)
· Public sector (NHS, DfEE, Citizens Advice Bureau).
Throughout he has employed and developed skills in facilitative approaches which draw the best out of teams and groups.
Steve has 7 years experience in business process outsourcing and offshoring to India. During this time he contributed to the winning of 5 major offshore deals and delivered 6 transition projects in the UK and to India. Contract values ranged between £10M and £250M.
Steve’s experience and training in facilitation was formalised in 2000 when he achieved accreditation as a Certified Professional Facilitator with the International Association of Facilitators (IAF). The IAF is a global body with approximately 1,500 members in over 63 countries.
Steve is one of only 30 Certified Professional Facilitators working in the UK.
