Professional Background
I am a very resourceful management consultant and executive coach, with operational and functional experience at senior and director level in blue chip companies. I have worked for 18 years exclusively in manufacturing operations in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and has considerable hands-on experience of driving through changes in very challenging environments.
My excellent people skills were developed at a heavily unionised site, where I successfully negotiated and delivered significant organisational change across site. Changing working practices, as well as retraining and development of the team managers, enabled a cultural change that improved the cost effectiveness of the large in-house engineering function, delivering bottom line benefits to the business.
I have led and delivered business transformations, including launching a new vision for a pharmaceutical site to ensure a long term viability. I have raised operational capability on a bulk chemical manufacturing facility to world class standards. At the other end of the spectrum I have also led operational and functional activities to close a manufacturing site. This experience has deepened my knowledge of accelerated business change in a very practical way, and enhanced my wealth of coaching skills to enable teams to operate at their highest potential in difficult circumstances.
Trained as an NLP Master Practitioner, I have built on my management experience to offer executive coaching and team development. My blend of pragmatic advice with a down-to-earth approach has already supported a service business through a major change. I have also considerable experience in manager recruitment and development, coaching and facilitation, as well as team building and team integration.
