Style
As a trainer, my trainees have remarked on my compassion, humour, and jargon-free approach.
As a coach, I help people to find resources within themselves to solve their problems and achieve their goals. This is backed up by 12 years experience of rapid changework.
Executive Coaching
I coach executives, managers and key professionals using the Goleman/Hay Group Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI) 360ยบ assessment as a starting point.
Coaching is informed by my experience of NLP and other “positive” approaches, including solution-focus and appreciative inquiry.
Each client is different, and I pride myself on being flexible enough to deliver coaching in the way that is most appropriate to each client’s needs.
Facilitation
In the past I have facilitated ideas generation workshops in the insurance industry.
I have also worked with new management teams using the SCORE model to help them assess where they are now, where they want to be, and how to get there.
I am keen to do more facilitation projects using the appreciative inquiry approach.
Training
1. NLP training, from a basic intro to Master Practitioner level. I provide open courses and tailored in-house training.
2. Training in coaching skills.
3. Training, assessment and consultancy in emotional intelligence. This runs from a one-hour keynote speech, via a half-day overview suitable for up to 100 people, to a one day “Practical EQ for Managers” workshop.
NLP
I have been using NLP one-to-one and in workshops since 1995. In 1997 I took my NLP Trainer Certification with Advanced Neuro Dynamics in California.
I ran my first NLP Practitioner Training in 2007 and have now run 12 Practitioner and 3 Master Practitioner courses, plus innumerable shorter workshops.
NLP is the primary approach I use in both coaching and training, because it is the most effective way I have yet found to help people achieve their objectives. It is possible to use NLP in a way that is transparent to the people receiving the benefits – for example, my new book Achieve Your Goals is based mainly on NLP principles but is jargon-free thoughout.
